(PRWEB) November 19, 2004 -- VDS Technologies has released AspMap 3.0, a high-performance, Internet mapping component for embedding spatial data display and analysis capabilities in ASP and ASP.NET applications and services.
AspMap adds interactive maps to your web site, dynamically generating maps such as: streets and highways, parcel maps, point-to-point routes and aerial photography. AspMap can create images in any standard image file format, or even send a bit-stream directly to the browser. Whether you have a local government web site, a real estate web site or a vehicle tracking web site, or you provide location-based services, AspMap can give you the functionality you need to turn the occasional visitor to your site into a regular user.
From its very inception and throughout its development, AspMap has been designed especially for the Internet. With performance-enhancing features such as support for multithreading, advanced spatial data indexing, and blazing in-process communications with your Web server, AspMaps native Internet architecture makes it the obvious choice to implement and scale your Web mapping applications and services.
AspMap 3.0 offers the following new features:
- Automated relates from map data to databases
- Scale dependent layer display
- On-the-fly projection of map data
- Point-to-point routing
- Turn-by-turn driving directions
- Export to GIF format
