Dr. Reef Karim Named One of Sexiest Men Alive by People Magazine
People Magazine has named psychiatrist and TV host Dr. Reef Karim one of the worlds sexiest men in its coveted Sexiest Man Alive" issue, on newsstands this week.

While he may not (yet) be a household name like the other super-hotties in the issue, such as cover hunk Jude Law, Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp, he is as good-looking and more than makes the grade as a modern day Renaissance Man.
Dr. Reef, as he is known, is a psychiatrist and addiction specialist at the prestigious UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute and host of the profiling reality show House of Clues" on Court TV. He is hip enough to be a sex and relationship expert on VH1s The Love Lounge" and MTVs Loveline" and gets serious enough to be a medical expert on The Today Show" as well as on CBS and CNN. He also recently taped an episode for ABCs Extreme Makeover."
As an actor, he has starred in the acclaimed Indo-American hit Flavors" and appeared in the feature films Laurel Canyon" and the upcoming Lords of Dogtown." He was further chosen to serve as technical medical advisor on a number of influential feature films including: Thirteen" and Laurel Canyon" as well as the TV show Alias." He was recently chosen to be part of IFPs prestigious Minority Directors Program and is directing and producing the short film Homeland Insecurity" about racial profiling.
Born in England to Indian parents, he trained at top medical establishments like UCLA, the Mayo Clinic and Northwestern as well as studied tropical medicine in Egypt and Eastern medicine in Turkey. From Native American reservations to urban rave clubs, Dr. Reef has observed how cultures interact with psyches and health. He is also a strong advocate for mental health issues and is actively involved with community outreach programs for troubled adolescents.
