STAR Winter Academy offers a Winter Challenge for LA Wiz-Kids

High achieving students looking for a fun and inspiring challenge this winter break need to look no further: Award winning STAR Educations Gifted And Talented Education (GATE) Department and the STAR Prep Academy are teaming up with the ECO Station to bring you the compelling STAR Winter Academy.

Culver City, CA (PRWEB) November 20, 2004 -- High achieving students looking for a fun and inspiring challenge this winter break need to look no further: Award-winning STAR Educations Gifted And Talented Education (GATE) Department and the STAR Prep Academy are teaming up with the ECO Station wildlife rescue center to bring you the compelling STAR Winter Academy.

Offering three unique sessions that explore the wonders of technology, science, and the arts, this innovative winter camp encourages student exploration and discovery, student-inspired creativity, enhanced self-confidence, and increased competency and fluency in fundamental skills and critical thinking.

In week one (Dec. 20 -- 23) STAR Winter Academy presents MIND TACTICS, a brain-tickler for LAs math and science wiz-kids, which includes Lego Robotics, Chemistry and Cuisine, Veterinary Science and Chess.

For the info-hungry, well-rounded learners, week two (Dec. 27 -- 30) gives campers a chance to experience the BEST of what the award-winning STAR has to offer, with diverse courses in Battle of the Bands, Animals Anatomy, Self Defense and Zome Tool, to satisfy the musical, strong, spatially-aware animal-lover in all of us!

Give kids the edge with studies in new technologies they wont find anywhere else! ENTERTAINMENT TECHNOLOGY is the theme of week three (January 3 -- 7), which presents courses in Narrative Filmmaking, Music Production, Animation and Acting for the Camera.
