(PRWEB) November 20, 2004 -- Juvenile/Adult fiction writer, Jonathan W. Howe, will be making a rare public appearance signing copies of his new novel, Heroes Don't Run on Friday, November 26, 2004 from 10 AM to 2 PM at ACE Tack & Outfitters in Cambridge, MN.

ACE is located on the corner of Main Street and Minnesota Highway 95 in the city of Cambridge. ACE specializes in western apparrel, saddles, hats and western-themed gifts. Most people could spend an entire day just browsing this fine store!

Heroes Don't Run is the story of a man who leaves home after a family tragedy to fight in the US Civil War. After the war he becomes a lawmen, set on taming the Wild West. Heroes is an action-packed, quick-paced story that supplies the reader with plenty of excitement.

Heroes Don't Run is also a social commentary on how the American Indian was treated in the 19th century and man's inhumanity toward his fellow man. As a white man with a Lakota Indian as his most trusted friend, the main character, Duncan Sims, finds a lot of hatred and ignorance among those around him and has to deal with it in his own way.

According to a reader review posted on amazon.com, "Heroes Don't Run is an amazing first effort for Jonathan Howe. The book is an easy read, but touches on many challenges we all face in life. Mr. Howe is able to stir emotions in the reader as well as transfer the reader to a different time and place. I picked the book up and couldn't put it down until I had finished it."

Heroes has also received a four-star rating from customers of Amazon.com.

Mr. Howe, a member of the Western Writers of America is a current resident of New Brighton, MN and is open to public appearances, readings, signings and/or interviews of any kind.
