@U2 Swinging to the Music Parties to Benefit African Well Fund

@U2 is sponsoring 3 pre-release listening parties on Sunday to celebrate the release of the new U2 album. The African Well Fund will receive the net proceeds from each of the parties.

Schenectady, NY (PRWEB) November 20, 2004 -- The African Well Fund is pleased to have been designated recipient of all net proceeds from @U2s Swinging to the Music pre-release listening parties which take place this Sunday, November 21st in Seattle, St. Louis and Boston. The parties are set to celebrate the release of U2s new album How to Dismantle An Atomic Bomb. Those in attendance will have the opportunity to listen to the new album, which will be played at all three parties.

Though details vary by each city, all parties will include a variety of prize giveaways that all those in attendance will have a chance to win. Additionally, representatives from AWF will be on hand to offer updates on our latest projects, AWF merchandise for sale and information on volunteer and fund-raising opportunities. The African Well Fund, www.africanwellfund.org is a registered non-profit 501(c)3 organization founded by a group of U2 fans in 2002. AWF has held two successful fundraising campaigns to Build a Well for Bonos Birthday and has raised over $50,000 since inception. AWF believes that access to safe consumable water is not merely a basic human need but a basic human right. Donations to the African Well Fund are used by our partner Africare for their well building projects in Africa.
