Multimedia Training Center First to Offer Avid Certification Testing in the Midwest

Ascend Training is offering testing for the Avid Certified Support Representative certification, as well as the multimedia training courses needed to pass the Avid Certified User and Operator Examination.

(PRWEB) November 22, 2004 -- Ascend Training, the only Avid- and Adobe-certified multimedia training and testing center in the Midwest, is offering the three essential multimedia training courses needed to pass the Avid Xpress DV/Pro Certified User and Operator Examination.

These three multimedia training classes-Editing with Avid Xpress Pro and Avid Xpress DV, Introduction to Avid Xpress Pro Effects, and Color Correction with Avid Xpress Pro-are each taught by highly-trained instructors who work in the multimedia industry themselves, offering real-world experience to Ascend Trainings interactive environment.

The Chicago-based multimedia training company provides hands-on workshops utilizing the latest desktop publishing, website development, and graphic design programs, such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere; Macromedia Flash, ColdFusion and Dreamweaver; Avid DV/Pro and QuarkXPress; and many others.

Ascend Training is also the only multimedia training center offering Avid Certified Support Representative (ACSR) recertification testing. The experienced instructors at Ascend Training work to provide students with high-quality training and certification in the skills necessary for professional non-linear editing with Avid Xpress DV/Pro.

Ascend recognized that there was a real need for a Avid testing and training center in the Midwest and it seemed only natural that Chicago was a good base to establish," said Gretchen Minx, Vice President of Ascend Training and Consulting. Avid has been very supportive of our efforts to establish our multimedia training facility."

As a special offer until December 31, 2004, any student who signs up to take an Avid Certified User examination at Ascend Training will be eligible to receive a free, full copy of Avid Xpress DV version 4.3.1 -- a $695 software value.

To receive free information about how to enroll in any of Ascend Trainings multimedia training courses or sign up for Avid certification testing, visit www.AscendTraining.com. Ascend offers the Avid Xpress DV/Pro examination for $100.
