Robert F. Campo Appointed CFO Of The Hampshire Companies
The Hampshire Companies, a full-service, private real estate investment fund manager with equity in assets valued at over $1 billion, today announced the appointment of Robert F. Campo, CPA, CFE, as Chief Financial Officer.
(PRWEB) November 22, 2004 -- Campo joins The Hampshire Companies following a stint at J.T. Mase & Company, Inc., where he also held the position of CFO. During his tenure at J.T. Mase, Campo restructured the company through a tax-free spin-off to facilitate funding needs and operating efficiency. Prior to J.T. Mase & Company, Inc., Campo was a founding partner of a local public accounting firm, Campo & Scherr, L.L.C. in Rockaway, NJ, and prior to that, partner in the accounting firm of Polakoff and Leen, P.A., in Livingston, NJ.
Campo is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), New Jersey State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJSCPA), and Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). He has authored numerous articles which appeared in The Practical Accountant and other publications. Campo received his BS in Accounting from Montclair State University in 1981, and is a resident of Basking Ridge, NJ, where he is a youth basketball coach.
The Hampshire Companies recently closed Hampshire Partners Fund VI, a $235 million real estate discretionary investment fund. The investment focus for the fund is on diversified value-add opportunities in the industrial, retail and suburban office asset classes located in the growth corridors of the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. With leverage, the Fund will be acquiring approximately $600 million of real estate over the next 3 years. The Fund is actively seeking additional acquisitions throughout its targeted markets.
