Top Ten Most Romantic Shows!

I was recently asked What are the most romantic shows to take that special person to". After some thought we came up with this list of what we feel will help to make that special date romantic.

(PRWEB) November 21, 2004 -- The Phantom of the Opera" is a very romantic story with sweeping romantic songs, eye popping sets, incredible costumes and always a winner with everyone. In London there has never been a seat unsold, and the musical has achieved in excess of 99% of potential capacity wherever it has been presented. It is estimated that over 52 million people have seen the show. Awards include the Laurence Olivier and Evening Standard Award for Best Musical and seven Tony Awards.

Forever Tango" is one of the hottest shows around and is dripping with hot and heavy sexy dancing. An Evening of Sheer Pleasure! Sensual, Elegant, Dazzling and Erotically Charged.

Beauty and The Beast" The most beautiful story ever told. Disney's first musical brings to life the beloved "tale as old as time" with a burst of theatrical magic. Already a legend as the sixth longest-running show in Broadway history, "Beauty and the Beast" was nominated for nine 1994 Tony® Awards including Best Musical. This eye-popping spectacle has been wowing audiences worldwide, with record-breaking runs in New York, London, Los Angeles, Toronto, Sydney, Tokyo, Madrid, Sao Paulo and Kyoto.

Based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature film, Disney's musical extravaganza is filled with technical wizardry, special effects and illusions, as well as dazzling production numbers and memorable songs by Alan Menken, Howard Ashman and Tim Rice. The Chicago Tribune raves "a tip-top production, lavishly produced, inventively executed!" and Joel Siegel of Good Morning America says "you'll have the time of your life!"

"La Traviata" the opera. Remember Pretty Woman" where Julia Roberts and Richard Gere go to the opera at the San Francisco Opera house? Very romantic evening in my book and I tried this with my wife, she loved it. That movie spawned a lot or requests for those front box seats in San Francisco and elsewhere. Dont forget to order champagne and hors d'ourves for the intermission to complete the package

Let's not forget the one that started it all: Romeo and Juliet". This classic story can be seen in many ways from West Side Story" to the actual play or the ballet, itself, which is being performed somewhere in the world everyday.

Andrea Bocelli is a great romantic opera performer to see with your loved one for a special evening. Worked for me -- and traveling to a place like New York, Las Vegas or Italy to see him will create a long lasting memory.

Some performers like Prince, Rod Stewart, Kenny Chesney, Alan Jackson, Tony Bennett, k.d. lang and others can work an audience into a very romantic mood. Dont discount the ability of these types of performers to create that romantic moment in you life.

Cirque du Soleil performances are a great way to set up the romantic evening and some of their shows like Zumanity , a provocative exhibition of human sensuality, arousal and eroticism, only at New York-New York Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, is a show for lovers, would-be lovers and anyone whose imagination has ever been sparked by the idea of love.

Sleeping Beauty the Ballet". This timeless classic is a must for romantic ballet fans. Be sure is pick a classic ballet company at one of the beautiful opera houses to be sure to get a full staged and costumed performance. Dress up, go by limo, have a late night dinner after the performance and you will have created the mood youre looking for.

Mamma Mia". A mother. A daughter. Three possible dads. And a trip down the aisle you'll never forget! Over 18 million people all around the world have fallen in love with the characters, the story and the music that make MAMMA MIA! the ultimate feel-good show!

Writer Catherine Johnson's sunny, funny tale unfolds on a tiny Greek island. On the eve of her wedding, a daughter's quest to discover the identity of her father brings 3 men from her mother's past back to the island they last visited 20 years ago.

The story-telling magic of ABBA's timeless songs propels this enchanting tale of love, laughter and friendship, and every night everyone's having the time of their lives!
