Instantstream today announced that it has received an undisclosed amount of money from an accredited investor whom has set pre-money valuation at $4 Million. The invested proceeds are for improving the newly released Streamphone Video Conferencing Service and to fund the acquisition of additional venture capital investment for its marketing entry into the Wimax market place.

Founded in 2004 as a video conferencing service provider, Instantstream had developed the easy to use, low cost Streamphone video conferencing services in October 2004. Unlike any other conferencing service, Streamphone requires no special hardware or software, there is neither contract nor long-term commitment and pricing is comparable to local and international phone calls.

Streamphone has person to person calling as well as private group conferencing services and public broadcast capabilities. Streamphone is complementary to other services provided by telephone companies, cable companies, CLEC’s, cell phone and hotspot providers. Additionally, Streamphone is comprised of services that make it uniquely positioned for the financial services industry and small business seeking local, national and international conferencing services, Regulation “FD” broadcasts and International telephone meetings. Furthermore, Streamphone has an electronic media promotional syndication service, which can generate media focus and excitement via live real-time press releases.

Streamphone 2.0 is very versatile and has universal web conferencing, VOIP features, instant messaging, email services, promotional and real-time content syndication services, devices handoff, it has biometric authentication and software echo canceling built in. Customers are located in China, Japan, Korea, South America, North America and London.

According to the CEO, Michael Daly, “We see a need for a videophone service that offers stationary and mobile video conferencing. We envision the Streamphone 2.0 service as an evolutionary improvement on today’s video conferencing services. Streamphone offers more, it has all the features of a videophone and other services not offered anywhere else in the market place. Streamphone runs on every PDA, PC, MAC and Linux. Now we are adding global mobility to the Streamphone service.

In early November 2004, we completed software extension that makes Streamphone suitable for all wireless networks, 3G, Wifi and Wimax networks. We believe that our IMLEC © technology will play a major role in the convergence of VOIP, streaming media and enterprise collaboration solutions. Now, we want to finish the first round of funding and to start marketing the Streamphone service on a national and international level”.
