Legendary Animation Director, Don Duga, who is responsible for bringing many of the wonderful Christmas Classic Television Cartoon films to life; makes an appearance Saturday, December 11, 2004 at TheDeepArchives Animation / Fine Art Gallery from 1pm to 6pm.
(PRWEB) November 25, 2004 --Come join us on Saturday, December 11, 2004, and have yourself a Merry Little Christmas as we kick off the Holiday Season with an Special Exhibit featuring the Artwork of Legendary New York Animator / Designer, DON DUGA.
The Holidays just wouldn't be the same without RUDOLPH The Red-Nosed Reindeer, FROSTY THE SNOWMAN, and who could forget that bickering duo of the HEAT MISER and his chilly brother SNOW MISER. Come down and meet the man responsible for bringing these Characters to life. Don Duga's RANKIN/BASS credits also include, SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN, THE LITTLE DRUMMER BOY, THE YEAR WITHOUT A SANTA CLAUS, and MAD MONSTER PARTY.
In addition to his work on Holiday specials, Don Duga is also well know for his work in the Commercial industry, where he designed such Animated Characters, TWINKIE THE KID, KING DING DONG, CAPTAIN CUP CAKE, and FRUIT PIE THE MAGICIAN.
Don's film work can be seen on such Children's programming as SESAME STREET, THREE TWO ONE CONTACT, READING RAINBOW, THE ELECTRIC COMPANY, and numerous children's Storybook videos such as OWEN, GOOD NIGHT GORILLA, and ISLAND OF THE SKOG.
The Event will feature a selection of Original Production Cels from the Rankin/Bass Holiday Classic, THE STINGIEST MAN IN TOWN, as well as numerous original Art pieces, by DON DUGA featuring all the beloved Holiday Characters.
