Resort Sports Network (RSN), a national television network that creates and distributes outdoor-oriented programming for more than 100 mountain and beach resorts across the country, has launched The Insider’s Guide on its web site, http://www.rsn.com.

The Insider’s Guide features inside information that highlights dining, lodging, nightlife, events and real estate for each of resorts in which RSN airs. The guide is designed to be a travel planning tool to give visitors a feel for the area prior to the visit.

“Because RSN has local affiliates in each of these premier destinations – resorts such as Vail, Crested Butte, Keystone, Lake Tahoe, Killington, Key West, Myrtle Beach, and Big Sky –we realized that we were in a great position to provide inside information online that could help visitors plan their trips based on their interests,” said Richard Bilodeau, vice president of marketing for RSN.

Bilodeau pointed out that many visitors rely on RSN’s web site for inside information about weather conditions, so extending the site to offer travel and local market information made sense.

“RSN.com can be a one-stop shop for people wanting to explore the feel of different resorts, figure out what to bring, and make plans for dining and excursions,” he said.

The site currently has developed Insider’s Guides for twenty of the country’s most popular markets, and plans to have guides for 50 markets by the end of 2005.
