faceted resource center providing study, exhibition, education, and program activities for learning about the culture and history of Atlanta and the South, has chosen Leapfrog Services to provide comprehensive management of its IT infrastructure and email and to provide help desk support for its computer users.
Founded in 1926 as the Atlanta Historical Society, the History Center includes a 30,000 square foot museum and 33 acres of gardens and woodland trails that are the setting for two historic houses. The library and archives house 33,000 volumes, a visual collection of 1.5 million historic photographs, prints, maps and architectural drawings, and nearly 1,000 cataloged manuscript collections comprised of business records, private papers, documents, newspapers and microfilm. A newly acquired addition, the Margaret Mitchell House and Museum in midtown, has been a client of Leapfrog Services for some time.

Implementing a comprehensive technology plan
Leapfrog was selected to execute a comprehensive technology plan developed by Atlanta History Center in consultation with The North Highland Company, providing enhancements to systems, security, and processes. The plan called for replacing all of AHCÂs servers, a third of their desktop computers, most of their network infrastructure, and their accounting and other business applications, with minimal downtime. Ongoing management and support of the new systems was turned over to Leapfrog as well.
