Wee Sing Again for the Holidays

There are few things more magical for children than the holidays. But, what if they could ride on a snowflake to visit Santa at the North Pole? With Wee Sing's new holiday DVD, Wee Sing The Best Christmas Ever, children can imagine their way with Poofer the elf as he takes them to Santa's workshop on his snowflake sleigh.

(PRWEB) November 26, 2004 -- There are few things more magical for children than the holidays. With lots of singing and dancing, colorful characters help solve a big problem to make sure Santa can deliver the toys for Christmas.

Not only is the Christmas DVD available, but Wee Sing has recently released four other DVDs: The Wee Sing Train, Wee Sing Under the Sea, Wee Sing in Sillyville, and Wee Sing King Cole's Party. Each DVD includes whimsical characters, magical adventures, and joyful music that will get kids up dancing and singing along.

"Not a lot of things hold my one-year-old daughter's attention, but she loves to clap and sing with all the Wee Sing music," says Valerie Moloney, a Chicago mom. "I grew up with Wee Sing and want my daughter to have the same opportunity."

Now with the creation of five new Wee Sing DVDs, the children's music company, which began in the 1980s, can once again capture the attention of 1 to 4 year olds through imaginative stories and catchy songs.

Wee Sing, which stands for wholesome, education, entertaining songs, was created n the mid 1970s by music teachers Pam Beall and Susan Nipp. Over the years, Wee Sing has released more than 60 titles in different formats that include songbooks, cassettes, CDs, coloring books, activity books, toys and videos. More than 50 million product items have been sold.

A new chapter in the Wee Sing story began this year when Beall and Nipp purchased the video rights back from Universal Home Entertainment. Now grandmothers, the duo is eager to expand the company, bringing today's generation of children even more magical, musical stories that are captivating and joyful.

What is the staying power of Wee Sing? For children, it is because it is joyful, interactive, and fun. For parents, it is because it is wholesome, trustworthy, and their kids are gaining pre-reading, coordination, listening, and memory skills. Plus, everyone agrees that it is timeless entertainment that children just want to enjoy over and over again.

"These women have worked hard to get their message out to a whole new generation," said Nick Clemente, a California publishing executive who has taken on the job of marketing their company, Wee Sing.
