San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) November 30, 2004
Rive Nestor, well known San Francisco Pet Artist and ThePetStar.com present the first of many "Pets and Their People" Art Shows at 2223 Restaurant in San Francisco showing through December 31, 2004. Located at 2223 Market Street in San Francisco, the show can be viewed between 6:00pm and 10:00pm, Monday - Sunday.
The show celebrates the love affair between pets and their people and features portraits of well known personalities pets. Palm Springs Mayor, Rod OdenÂs Black Lab Puppy, Houston glows in bright blues and purples ; well-known San Francisco dessert chef extraordinaire, Elizabeth Faulkner shows off the portrait of her Yorkie, Hudson in pinks and bright yellow. And of course, the artist, Rive NestorÂs poodle, Remy with her soulful eyes and brilliant shades of the palette all speak volumes about how crazy we Americans are about our four legged family members.
People from all walks of life are drawn to NestorÂs paintings for her ability to capture the soul of an animal while being visually exciting and skillful paintings.
Beth Townsend of Anne Getty and Associates remarked, "Rive captured Gigi, my Shih Tzu with such amazing accuracy considering she painted Gigi in pink, purple, and teal. It's very hard to please adults and children but Rive managed to do it perfectly. My children and I love the painting of Gigi".
The work is best described by the Artist, Rive Nestor, Â I begin every painting with the eyes, hoping to capture each animalÂs personality and heart. From there colors seem to take on a life of their own, each wanting to be placed in their own particular way. And in the end, a painting is born of a unique and beautiful animal, one absolutely loved by someone.Â
The Pets and Their People Art Show is sponsored by ThePetStar.com which brings together 3 of the most loved past times: Pets, Art and the Internet in an online interactive quarterly contest with the goal of finding the worldÂs cutest pet! You can visit the site at http://www.thepetstar.com to find out more about the contest and to view more of Rive NestorÂs pet portraits and gifts based on her portraits.
