Rising Stars Canada Introduces A Specialized Recruitment Tool for Canadian Student Athletes Seeking Scholarships to North American Universities

Rising Stars Canada (www.risingstarscanada.com) is a new Web-based recruitment service that specializes in helping Canadian student athletes seeking Scholarships to North American Universities. RSC also provides services to USA college coaches who are looking for the untapped resource of Canadian high school athletes. RSC connects students to educational opportunities and coach-recruiters to rising stars.

(PRWEB) November 27, 2004 -- Rising Stars Canada provides a Web-based resource containing student-athlete information, including vital statistics, sport or club affiliation, G.P.A., athletic and academic benchmarks and any additional information that the student believes will enhance their profile.

The Web-based profile gives student athletes the opportunity to showcase their skills to the widest audience, and to give post-secondary institutions the opportunity to discover and recruit students that will enhance their academic and athletic programs.

Rising Stars Canada offers several custom video and audio services for student-athletes who want to enhance their Prospect Profiles. The RSC multimedia experts take game tape provided by athletes, and edit it into a dynamic highlight package suitable for the Web.

RSC videographers shoot custom video highlight packages that can be enhanced with interviews. For an added touch, the RSC audio department can create an individualized radio-style audio profile, read by a professional announcer, describing your talents, accomplishments, and aspirations.

RSC offers guidance to students, informing them of post-secondary institution eligibility requirements, and preparing them for the transition into post-secondary education. RSC helps students to actively market themselves by preparing customized athletic and academic resumes and digital video correspondence.

RSC student resumes capture the essence of their talents and present it to potential schools in an organized, professional, and technologically advanced manner. This not only helps students to gain exposure, but also increases their chances of being discovered by post-secondary institution.

RSC provides one hour seminars that outline all of the entrance requirements for US post secondary institutions. Students can better understand how to prepare themselves for acceptance into US colleges. Our speakers will touch on GPA requirements, SAT and ACT preparation and test dates, campus visits, financial aid, and obtaining athletic or academic scholarships in the US. These seminars are offered at no-charge. Topics covered by these seminars include: NCAA Clearinghouse regulations and registration, National Letters of Intent Workshop, SAT/ACT Test Site Locator, and SAT/ACT Test Prep Seminar.

Our staff works with coaches to accurately assess and report such things as strength, speed, vertical jump, height, weight, fat percentage, injuries, overall fitness and health. Each Athlete will receive a fitness 'grade' that can be posted to help demonstrate the athlete's physical capabilities. Not only is this information from the athletic evaluation important for potential coaches, it is also important for the athletes, because it provides a benchmark for comparing future improvements.

RSC offers post graduate programs for students that have graduated. Whether a student wishes to pursue a professional career in sport or move into the corporate world, RSC has personal marketing solutions for each graduate. RSC offers each graduate permanent access to their risingstarscanada.com email address and a personal page in our RSC Hall of Fame section where they can post their resumes and continue to use RSC resources to market themselves. Rising Stars Canada also provides each graduate with personalized reference letters to help promote their careers.

College coaches receive information and athlete profiles that meet specific criteria that they pre-determine. Coaches fill-in their profile information, containing information such as the type of athlete they are looking for, the position the athlete will fill, etc. The coaches can update this profile as often as they wish. They can also request profiles on athletes outside of their requirements, but only if the prospect has shown interest in that particular institution. College coaches will receive an email every time a new prospect, that meets the outlined criteria, signs-up and provides consent to RSC.

College coaches receive digital scouting reports twice a year. These CD or DVD digital reports will contain complete prospect profiles including: personal information, academic information, athletic achievements, coach's quotes and comments, and other personal references. These digital scouting reports will match the criteria outlined in the Scout Specific Program, so that college coaches only receive the information they want.

Coaches can also request updated scouting reports to reflect changes they make to their profile, after the original report has been issued. Additionally, college coaches can request individual prospect profiles for the athletes that are listed on the scouting report.

RSC maintains frequent contact with high school and club team coaches. This allows RSC to stay up-to-date on athletic talent, and enables RSC to help college coaches find players for a particular position, even if the players are not registered with the RSC program.
