Radiant Communicationsä Teams with Ingenico Group & HSI Canada Micros to Bring Debit/Credit Transactions Right to Your Restaurant Table
Retaurant patrons will never lose sight of their credit card when their payment transaction is completed right at their table with the newest technology.
Vancouver, BC (PRWEB) November 28, 2004 - Radiant Communications Corp. ("Radiant" or the "Company") (TSX Venture Exchange: RCX), one of Canadas largest independent providers of IP-based data communications and Internet services, is pleased to announce that the Company has completed an agreement to provide its RetailCONNECT high-speed, Internet services for a new integrated hospitality solution from Ingenico Group and HSI Canada Micros. With this revolutionary solution, restaurant patrons will be able to pay their bill with their debit or credit card right at their table.
Maximum Credit Card Security and Faster Bill Payment
The Micros suite of hospitality systems provides the customers data to an Ingenico Pay@Table short-range, wireless terminal that prints the customers order and processes their payment at their table over Radiants secure, high-speed connection. Debit/credit transactions are authorized in only 3-4 seconds. With all payment activity taking place at the table, servers will be able to have their customers checked-out 33 percent faster. Meanwhile, customers will retain complete control of their debit or credit card. They will no longer worry about their card being misused while it is out of their sight, because now their card will never leave their table.
The Ingenico Pay@Table solution is exactly the kind of exciting breakthrough in the hospitality industry that IP-based data communications technology easily delivers," said Jim Grey, President and CEO of Radiant Communications. Radiant has developed tailored services that allow hospitality businesses to confidently and securely adopt IP-based data communications, and ultimately provide better service for their customers. Radiant is proud to be a part of the team that is leading the way to bring this technology to restaurants across the country."
We are very excited about working with Micros and Radiant to launch this extraordinary solution, said Geoff Bowen, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Ingenico Canada. As the world leaders in our respective areas, we will be in a position to lead the next big trend in restaurant/hospitality service -- Pay@Table. We estimate that there are over 200,000 Pay@Table devices required in Canada alone."
Micros systems help the restaurant/hospitality owner build success through every level of their enterprise, from making sure each customer gets the right order on time to controlling prices, menus, and profits on a chain-wide basis," said Vince Forrestall, CEO of HSI Canada Micros. We are very excited about integrating the Ingenico Pay@Table solution into three of our most popular systems, the Micros 3700, 8700 and 9700 systems. These solutions provide outstanding control and operating functionality to restaurants, hotels and golf courses. This is where we see Pay@Table adding significant value."
