Canadian Artist to Appear in Grapevine, Texas
VETRO Glassblowing Studio & Gallery to Host Canadian Artist Andrew Bogya, one of the world's finest acrylic artists, Saturday, December 4, 2004.
Grapevine, TX (PRWEB) November 29, 2004 -- VETRO Glassblowing Studio & Gallery will welcome one of the worlds finest acrylic artists, Andrew Bogya, Saturday, December 4, 2004.
Born in Budapest and now living in Canada, Andrew Bogya is highly acclaimed internationally as one of the best-known artists to gain fame through a most unusual medium -- cast acrylic. Formerly a sculptor of stone, Bogya found the perfect way to continue using his favorite subjects, while adding the element of light. The beauty and mystery added through acrylic can be best seen in Bogyas piece, Ghost Riders, currently on display at VETRO Glassblowing Studio & Gallery.
Ghost Riders is one of the most breathtaking pieces we have ever exhibited in our Gallery, says artist and co-owner Gary Hayes, We are thrilled to have Andrew in the studio to meet our patrons and guests and provide insight into his unique craft."
Bogyas style is completely self-taught. When I was very young my art teacher told me, 'remember, all I can do is teach you how to use the tools. The rest is in you." says Bogya, I believe that I have been able to find my own uniqueness in that freedom of self-discovery." Now a mentor to up and coming acrylic artists world-wide, Bogya feels an obligation to help others establish themselves in this new medium while exploring their own creativity.
Andrew Bogya will be at VETRO Glassblowing Studio & Gallery December 4th from 1:00pm -5:00pm. This rare opportunity to meet Bogya will be open to the public and will include an extended exhibition of Bogyas work.
