PPH Business Checks & Forms Division Takes Additional Measures to Prevent Check Fraud.

Professional PC Helps business check and forms division has enacted new measures to ensure that new orders placed for checks online are not fraudulent.

Cleveland, TN (PRWEB) November 28, 2004 -- Check fraud cost American businesses over 20 billion dollars in 2002. With the number of checking account fraud incidents rising each year, the customer service team at PPH Business Checks & Forms have stepped up their measures in the prevention of fraudulent account number usage by verifying with the issuing bank the validity of address and account information.

They are also taking measures to verify with the bank the contact person on the account so that check orders may be verified one step further. The additional security measures have not affected ordering time as the company maintains their 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed" policy. PPH Business Checks & Forms has never had a fraudulent claim submitted since the start of the business. They enacted this measure ultimately to protect their customers and continue providing excellent service.

Check fraud is one of the largest challenges facing businesses today. A significant amount of check fraud is due to counterfeiting through desktop publishing and copying - to create or duplicate an actual financial document- as well as chemical alteration, which consists of removing some or all of the information and manipulating it to the benefit of the criminal. PPH Business Check & Forms Division already incorporates six security features for manual checks including erasure protection, microprint signature line, and chemically sensitive paper. Eight security measures are in place for computer checks including microprint borders, UV Dull Paper, invisible fluorescent fibers, and chemically sensitive paper. For a small increase in price the number of security features can be increased to include the word void printed six languages if altered and an additional watermark to prevent photocopy and scanning. Internal theft is another type of fraud that affects the business word. In order to provide extra security we offer free services which include the printing of a line of text above the signature line such as Void After 90 Days" or taking it one step further for companies who wish to protect large checks by requiring two signatures and the text above reading Two Signatures Required If Over $5000.00". With this added layer of protection every company can make it more difficult for employees to misuse or abuse company funds.

With these additional measures in place PPH Business Checks & Forms is committed to serving the business community by helping decrease the number of checking account fraud attempts.
