Southern California Artist Designs Holiday Gifts for Local Pets

Hot, hip Southern California Artist, Josh Agle -- best known as SHAG -- designed an exclusive Holiday card for PAWS/LA -- Pets Are Wonderful Support/Los Angeles. Proceeds from the card will help keep pets and their people with fatal illnesses together.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) November 30, 2004 -- PAWS/LA (Pets Are Wonderful Support/Los Angeles) is proud to announce an exciting collaboration with world renowned, retro lounge artist, Shag. One of Southern Californias most famous living artists, Shag has created a holiday card exclusively for PAWS/LA that can be purchased directly from the agency for $20 per box. Proceeds from the card sales will help PAWS/LA and their mission to keep people and their companion animals together.

In addition to the Shag designed cards, PAWS/LA will also offer its traditional Christopher Radko holiday ornament. This years ornament is titled, Jingle Paws" and features a dog and cat in Santas sleigh off delivering presents.

Josh Agle (better known as Shag, a contraction of the last two letters of his first name and the first two letters of his last name) is a painter, illustrator and designer working in Southern California. His initial intention to establish a career as an illustrator-for-hire was sidetracked when his original paintings began to garner considerate attention from galleries and collectors. Since his first solo gallery show in 1997, Shag has had successful solo exhibitions in the United States, Europe, Japan and Australia.

Created in 1989, PAWS/LA assists individuals who have been physically and financially debilitated due to a life-threatening illness, to help keep and care for their companion animals. Currently PAWS/LA assists almost 1,700 Los Angeles residents and their 2,500 plus pets. The agency provides food, veterinary care, in-home care, grooming needs and other essentials.
