Panel Discussion to Focus on the Â?Software As A ServiceÂ? Model for Desktop Management

Everdream Corporation, the leader in hosted desktop IT services, today announced that Gary Griffiths, CEO and president, will speak at the CIO Forum and Executive IT Summit on December 1st, 2004 at the Sheraton Imperial Conference Center in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina.

The CIO Forum and Executive IT Summit was launched at the demand of CIOs and executive IT leaders who need comprehensive, focused technology forums in their regions. The CIO Forum and Executive IT Summit is an educational and interactive product for IT professionals. The summit content is driven by regional leaders for the purpose of benefiting regional economies, and the corporate, educational, healthcare, government, and finance communities. These forums are by invitation only, and offer “cutting-edge” technology resources for the executive participants to deploy end-to-end solutions within their organizations.

Mr. Griffiths will moderate a discussion entitled, “Will Software-as-a-Service Work For Your Desktops?”. The panel session will focus on addressing the common business challenge of whether to purchase and maintain a suite of internal software management tools to keep enterprise desktops current and protected, or to partner with a specialist that serves as an extension of the internal IT team by providing these capabilities through a hosted and managed service. Everdream will present a deeper look into how outsourcers can provide a managed service that supports end-user computing infrastructures 24/7/365 for a low, predictable monthly fee per system.

“We are seeing an increased demand for information on how IT departments can leverage the software-as-a-service model,” said Griffiths. “Our goal is to educate IT leaders on the benefits of Managed Service Providers and their impact on the company’s bottom line.”

Fellow panelists include: John H. Garrett, co-owner of CNP Technologies; James Smith, VP and managing partner of Getronics; and John W. McCarley, previous CIO and VP of IT at Bowe Bell & Howell.

The event is sponsored by Premier Technology Conference & Expo, the nation's leading source of IT education and support for senior technology executives at regional level. More information about the conference can be found at: http://www.premiertce.com
