Extreme Takeover: Political Insanity Stress Disorder
The aftermath of Election 2004 has resulted in a definite syndrome for those in blue: Political Insanity Stress Disorder. This is maintaining the "dividing line" and will continue to do so indefinitely.
Parkland, FL (PRWEB) December 6, 2004 -- A month post Election 2004 and all is not well for possibly fifty-six million US citizens. Ranging from low levels to extreme levels of anger and frustration regarding the election of George W. Bush and the defeat of John Kerry, emotional investments have not ameliorated. With Kerry back in the Senate chambers, a residual syndrome, Political Insanity Stress Disorder (PISD), encapsulates the range of manifestations experienced by those suffering defeat.
Post Election 2004 has taken on characteristically unique reactions that appear to strengthen in anticipation of Inauguration Day coupled with the shock factor that four more years is about to begin.
From cursing at leftover bumper stickers to remote control annihilations of any semblance of the "winner" to verbal venting via letters to editors, those suffering the ill effects are not a silent minority. There is a peculiar avoidance of initiating a face to face political exchange with acquaintances from the opposite side of the country. Beliefs are so solid against the perceived and believed insanity that precautionary measures of restraint are consciously in place lest one be tempted to vent in public. People are not simply annoyed by the re-election of Bush. They are livid.
With the daily reinforcement of beliefs experienced via the media, heretofore Kerry supporters are left with an overwhelming feeling of unfinished business that is not waning. As witness to what they label as sheer madness in moves and measures by the Bush administration, the, now known as "leftist liberals" are convinced that their god must be crazy.
Unable to understand the five ws (who, what, where, when, George W ) and most dramatically the "How?" part of the election quandary, those suffering the effects of the Disorder are not about to "let go", "unite", or "tolerate" as suggested here and there by those who, (obviously) just dont get it. The commonly uttered explanation of, "Its politics" has indefinitely been replaced with, "Its insane!" There is no compromising because of all the blatant evidence from the last four years, suspicion of election foul play, and the state of the country.
A war of civilian and soldier deaths, unemployment coupled with tax cuts for supporters, cuts in funding to help those in need and increases in debt to pay for the burial of our soldiers and the rebuilding of a country, judgment against lifestyles whose members were created by an all-accepting God instead of a god who sent the word that certain groups are defective products and Roe versus Wade is out of date in "his" book, all coagulate as political insanity. The extremes are so clear to onlookers that there is a pointed lack of leeway and no chance of excusing away the insanity of it all and thus the emotional perturbation.
As the long days pass with no relief in sight, the mobilized remain so with a power to the people mind-set, a prayer for justice, and a hope for reincarnation of Deep Throat. To those feeling the effects, it is that bad and all too crazy for words from the wise.
