110-gramme IRMA Device Broadens Presentation Options For Facility Managers. Pocket Sized device makes wireless PowerPoint presentations simpler for presentation rooms and personnel on the move.

London (PRWEB) December 5, 2004 -- A new pocket-sized wireless presentation device, which enables users to make PowerPoint presentations direct from their handheld device, without using a laptop, is set to transform the AV equipment options open to facility and office managers in the UK.

IRMA, introduced by Infrablue, a specialist provider of presentation solutions, is a small, 110-gramme device, which gives presenters the freedom to move away from the laptop and control and navigate different PowerPoint slides with greater composure in meetings.

The IRMA system comprises compression software and the pocket-sized Bluetooth device. Using pre-loaded IRMA software, the user converts and compresses the PowerPoint slides from their laptop or PC and transfers them to their handheld device which has also been loaded with the system software. During a presentation, the users handheld then sends the compressed PowerPoint presentation slides direct to the projector which is connected to the IRMA unit using a standard VGA connection -- no laptop is needed.

As well as enjoying greater freedom to present, sales and training professionals can make presentations whenever they like without carrying a cumbersome laptop. IRMA also saves them ten minutes at every meeting which is otherwise lost to setting up and shutting down the laptop.

In addition, with a 20Mb memory, IRMA can store a series of different presentations which the user can access as required during the presentation.

To establish a permanent wireless PowerPoint presentation option in an organisations meeting rooms and presentation suites, facility managers can simply maintain an IRMA device permanently by the conference room projector. This enables any colleagues with pre-enabled handheld devices, to make their own wireless PowerPoint presentations in the room without bringing in their laptop.
