Colorado Artist Wins Heart of the Grove Art Competition for the Second Year in a Row.
Artist Ken Elliott wins the Heart of the Grove art contest for the second year in a row. Crafting expert Betty Valle wins first place in the Heart of the Grove crafting category.
Denver, CO (PRWEB) December 2, 2004 -- Ken Elliott of Castle Rock, Colorado won first place in the Art category in the Heart of the Grove charity art event with his fall inspired Red Tree Line" Giclee. Contest judges called this breath taking entry an autumn blaze". Mr. Elliott also won first prize in the Heart of the Grove charity contest last year with his White Wood".
Second place in the art category went to Denver resident Guinivere Stevensons Heart of the Grove". This photograph is an enigmatic and mysterious" interpretation of the phrase Heart of the Grove".
The craft category is the Heart of the Groves most competitive category. This year, first place in the craft category went to the stunning Heart Gourd" created by Betty Valle. This one-of-a-kind creation was made from a real gourd and has a detachable lid. The runner up was Bayfield resident Betty Perrys richly colored and fine detailed Heart wall quilt".
The Heart of the Grove is an on-line fundraiser for the Open Grove, a small Denver based non-profit which creates informative, accessible holistic health programming.
