Travel Town Train Ride to Santa Huge Success
The first weekend of the night time train ride to visit Santa was a huge success. The big smiles and cheery greetings of the children and parents as they exited provided proof of the wonderful time they had on the ride.
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) December 2, 2004 -- Travel Town Train Museum is hosting a unique holiday event that started November 27, 2004. Between Thanksgiving and Christmas, children will be able to take a nighttime miniature train ride to visit Santa at his house at the North Pole. Once they arrive they will visit with Santa, get a picture with him if desired, then get back on the train to return home along a decorated and music filled track.
The first weekend was very successful with hundreds of families leaving with big smiles and words of praise. This event is presented by the Griffith Park Train Rides in cooperation with the City of Los Angeles, Department of Recreation and Parks. It is a visit to Santa like no other in the Los Angeles area. Traveling outdoors on cool winter evenings gives families a more traditional Christmas experience than they can find in other settings.
Starting at 5 p.m on the evenings stated below, families may enter the Museum and board the miniature train ride at the gaily decorated station. Once aboard, they will travel past the reindeer barn and Santas Workshop to arrive at the North Pole. There they will disembark and visit with Santa. Polaroid photographs will be available. After they have finished their visit, guests will re-board the train and travel along the decorated mile of track back to the station.
