For three generations the Zaro family has been serving it's hand-made, all-natural, no-preservatives, fresh baked goods to discriminating New Yorkers. The launch of a wholesale bakery outfit now enables discriminating retailers to provide Zaro's unique products to customers all across the country. Products available through the wholesale bakery division include: babka, black and white cookies, rugelach, cheesecake, and much more.

Zaro's wholesale bakery customers range from supermarkets and corporate caterers to restaurants and health food stores. The company just recently made a highly successful debut appearance on QVC, now a key partner of the Zaro wholesale bakery business, through which Zaro's ships cookies and other goodies all across the country.

The family opened their first store in 1927 when Joseph Zaro arrived at Ellis Island from Eastern Europe. By 1976 his sons, Phil and William had built the business to a 20 store chain in the most critical and competitive market in the world. In 1977, the company opened its Grand Central Station store which paved the way for a store in Pennsylvania Station, the Port Authority Bus Terminal and many others.
