BlueStreak Sports Training Facility to Open Saturday, December 4, 2004 in Stamford, CT

BlueStreak Sports Training, founded by David Neeleman, CEO of JetBlue Airways, and David Checketts, former CEO of Madison Square Garden and President of the Utah Jazz, is having an Open House Saturday, December 4, 2004 in Stamford Connecticut. The facility will offer revolutionary new training methods and technology for all ages.

Stamford, CT (PRWEB) December 3, 2004 -- General George C. Patton once said, Hard work beats talent when talent doesnt work hard." Given the increasing competition at every level, a new high-tech sports training facility is opening this week in Stamford. On Saturday, December 4 an open house will be held at the Largo Drive location. This facility is especially geared toward those young athletes who want to increase their speed and improve their performance. BlueStreak is designed to not only enable athletes to work harder but also work smarter and yield greater results. We are committed to helping young athletes reach their potential through the latest in sports-training technology," stated David Young, President and CEO of BlueStreak. BlueStreak is also welcoming all of Fairfield County to view the facilities. Ours is a very advanced and unique facility," said Young.

In launching this high-tech facility, Young and his colleagues are not re-inventing the wheel. This concept has been tried and tested -- and proven enormously popular -- around the country and around the world. The facility uses Frappier Acceleration Sports Training, or FAST, and was introduced to the Jet Blue President and Founder, David Neeleman, by his teenage son who went through the program at a Utah-based training facility last summer. So impressed was Neeleman at the results of his sons training, he decided to open similar facilities in the New York metropolitan area enabling many more athletes to enjoy greater success in athletic work. We hope this is the first of many such facilities throughout Connecticut and New York," said Young.

The Stamford facility is run by Patrick Hedge, a former baseball player and strength coach in the Baltimore Orioles organization. Hedge said, BlueStreaks goal is to create an environment in which athletes from every level can fulfill their dreams. Whether those dreams lead them to a professional sport or not, we hope that they leave BlueStreak overflowing with confidence after they have reached the limits of their own potential."
