Vetro Glassblowing Studio & Gallery has brought together area merchants in an effort to raise thousands of dollars for children infected with HIV and affected by AIDS on December 11, 2004.
GRAPEVINE, TX (PRWEB) December 3, 2004 -- Vetro Glassblowing Studio & Gallery is spreading more than holiday spirit this year. By rallying together the merchants that comprise the historic district of downtown Grapevine, Vetro, along with area merchants, hope to raise thousands of dollars for children infected with HIV and affected by AIDS on December 11, 2004.
Downtown Grapevine has become a holiday destination for finding unique gifts," says Vetros Marketing Director, Laura Hayes, we see a surge in foot traffic and spending each December as people look for presents for the special people in their lives - it seemed like the perfect opportunity to raise money for the AIDS Outreach Center."
The AIDS Outreach Center is a leader in Tarrant and surrounding counties serving men, women and children with HIV and their families, educating the public about HIV prevention and advocating for sound HIV public policy. Due to its long-standing history of quality and comprehensive support services, AOC has become the most highly utilized non-medical referral destination for more than 1,100 persons per year living with HIV/AIDS in Tarrant County and the surrounding areas.
We are thrilled to find a supporter like Vetro to take the initiative to find unique ways to raise money for our children infected with HIV and affected by AIDS", says Dara Austin, Executive Director, Aids Outreach Center. Vetro, along with the Grapevine Historic District, is not only raising much-needed funding, but is also helping raise awareness."
December 11th from 10:00am -- 6:00pm area merchants including Vetro Glassblowing Studio & Gallery at 701 S. Main St., Suite 103 in Grapevine will be donating 10% of all sales to the AIDS Outreach Center in Tarrant County, Texas. This money will help fund important programs providing a wide range of social services, outreach activities, testing and counseling, prevention education programs and public policy advocacy.
In celebration of the fundraiser, Vetro will be giving away a wine & cheese party for 4 that includes a custom piece of glass art hand-blown by co-owners Gary Hayes and David Gappa. The total package value is $500 and it will be awarded to the patron who spends the most over $500 at Vetro on December 11th.
