Golf Tournament Benefits Henry M. Jackson High School Band
Jackson High School band students will benefit from the Jackson High School Band Boosters 1st Annual Par-Tee Fore Band" Golf Tournament to be held March 14, 2005. Players and sponsors wanted.
Mill Creek WA (PRWEB) December 4, 2004 -- Co Presidents Brad Bodyfelt and Vicki Nurre announced today that the Jackson High School Band Boosters will be hosting their 1st Annual Par-Tee Fore Band" Golf Tournament to help raise money for the Jackson High School Band program and students on March 14th 2005.
Funds raised from this event will help support the bands trip to Vancouver, BC to compete in the Heritage Music Festival, a highly prestigious and competitive festival. Funds will also be used to purchase much needed new band equipment.
About the Golf Tournament
The 1st Annual Golf Tournament is JHS Band Boosters major fundraiser and sponsors are needed, as well as golfers. Sponsorships range from $500 to $3000.
The tournament will be held on March 14th 2005 at the Mill Creek Country Club. Registration is at 12:00 PM noon and shotgun start is at 1:00 PM. A banquet dinner and silent auction will follow, beginning at 6:00 p.m. The tournament will be a 'best ball or 'scramble and the fee to play is $150 per golfer. Additional golf packages are also available, including Concert Master -- one 4-man scramble team, plus Concert Master" gifts for each player, at a cost of $1,000 per team; Conductor -- one 4-man scramble team plus hole sponsorship and Conductor" gift for each player at a cost of $1,500 per team; and Composer -- two 4-man scramble teams, plus hole sponsorship, jazz combo performance at sponsored tee, and Composer" gift for each player, at a cost of $3,000 per team. Fees include 18 holes of golf, use of a golf cart, prime rib or chicken banquet dinner, a golfing grab bag, and green fees. Numerous prizes and awards will be presented throughout the event. All proceeds support Jackson High School Band program and students.

About Jackson High School Band
The JHS Bands consist of three concert bands, one of which is an auditioned/honor group, as well as a percussion ensemble and two jazz ensembles. Over the past few years, the bands have traveled, performed and competed in the Moscow Jazz Festival, Disneyland stage performances,
numerous community events and the New York Heritage Festival, where they were the winners of eight awards, including the Sweepstakes Award for the entire festival.
The students in the Jackson Bands are also very involved in many other extra and co-curricular activities, including Honor Society, volunteering in the community and holding down jobs to name just a few. The contributions that the band students make to the JHS community as well as the Mill Creek community are endless. From participating at sporting events to business grand openings, the JHS Band is actively involved in the civic responsibilities that accompany the extra activities in which they participate.
About Mill Creek Country Club
Located at 15550 Country Club Drive in beautiful Mill Creek, Washington, The Mill Creek Golf & Country Club is a private, 18-hole course that is open year round. This beautifully scenic course was built on rolling hills. The greens are small, and the fairways are narrow. Greens are Poa Annua Grass, fairways are Bluegrass.
