Loving Homes "Toys and More" Drive for Local Foster Children
A Pueblo-based placement agency will hold a "Toys and More" drive for foster children until December 11th.
(PRWEB) December 4, 2004 --This time of year, we focus on giving toys to our children. But, families with foster children need a little help to make sure they have a Merry Christmas. Loving Homes, Inc is holding a Toys and More" drive for children in foster care.
The placement agency is accepting items for children of all ages. Acceptable donations include toys, DVDs, gift certificates, sheets, pillows, towels, furniture, utensils, and clothes.
Donations can be dropped off at Loving Homes, 212 West 13th Street, until December 11th. Items can be picked up from homes and businesses until December 5th. To arrange for pickup, contact Crystal Gerlock at 545-6181.
There are over 700 children in Colorado foster care waiting to be adopted. One reason for the wait is the difficulty in finding adoptive parents, particularly for children with behavioral problems and African-American children.
