"Mad Cow" Strikes Back in Video Game

Veggie Games Inc. takes "Mad Cow" in a whole new direction with release of Steer Madness

Vancouver, BC, Canada (PRWEB) December 4, 2004 --Veggie Games Inc. (http://www.VeggieGames.com) announced today the release of the first ever activism based animal-rights themed video game, "Steer Madness". Featuring a cow who's got more then a few things things to be mad about, players of the game find themselves breaking into cosmetics labs to rescue rabbits, hijacking chicken transport trucks to save chickens from slaughter, and overall converting an entire city to vegetarian at a rate that even the Meat Marketing Board can't keep up with.

Best described as "Grand Theft Auto" meets "Chicken Run", Steer Madness is a fully-featured 3D action-adventure game for PC and Macintosh. The game is appealing to both gamers and non-gamers alike with it's easy controls, captivating storyline and rocking indy music soundtrack. Though based on direct action activism the gameplay is completely non-violent and suitable for all ages, a refreshing change from the usual guns-and-bombs video game line-up and keeping it consistant with the compassionate message of animal rights.

The creator of Steer Madness and president of Veggie Games Inc., Johnathan Skinner, has been an animal-rights activist for many years, speaking up for the animals that can't speak for themselves. While brainstorming ways to increase the effectiveness of traditional advocacy, Johnathan was inspired to use his skill of making video games as a form of activism. As a professional video game developer since 1996, Johnathan took what he knew of game design and created Steer Madness.
