Redmond, WA (PRWEB) December 3, 2004
Unisoft Networks, the Puget SoundÂs premier full-solution IT services provider, has opened registration for their latest TechNext seminar series. Mission Compliance, a data protection and archiving seminar, will be held on January 13th, 2005 at the Microsoft Executive Briefing Center in Redmond, Wash. The event will address data management strategies for companies looking to meet compliance with federal and government regulations, such as the SECÂs Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 and HIPAA in the health care industry.
Unisoft Networks TechNext seminars are free, half-day forums dedicated to informing Puget Sound businesses on the latest technology issues important to their organization. The seminars are a great opportunity for IT decision-makers to gain valuable first-hand knowledge of new products and evaluate solutions for their companyÂs IT needs. In addition, each session is delivered by Unisoft NetworkÂs enterprise technology partners, which gives attendees the opportunity to meet and share ideas with some of the industryÂs leading specialists.
Mission Compliance, a half-day seminar from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm, will focus on data protection and archiving strategies for meeting compliance with new federal and government policies. With a key deadline of Sarbanes-Oxley recently passing in November, businesses need to come up with viable solutions for storing and retrieving their companyÂs electronic data. Industries affected by these policies include securities and financial, insurance, healthcare, and real estate.
Technology pioneers and innovators Microsoft®, HP, VERITASÂ, and Zetta Systems will lead four insightful sessions designed to educate attendees on the best practice strategies for topics ranging from data protection and replication, backup and recovery, and email archiving. The sessions conclude in the afternoon with a Q/A panel discussion, to be followed by a raffle giveaway, which includes an HP Apple iPod. IntelÂ, KVS and NetDesk are other sponsors for the event.
"Data management policies are affecting organizations nationwide, and public and privately held companies in the Puget Sound are no exception", says Chaz Spahn, vice president for Unisoft Networks. "For every business group, basic policies and procedures for storing and retrieving electronic data need to be defined. Our technology partners are bringing together some innovative strategies for meeting regulatory compliance that any companyÂs IT manager can benefit."
Lunch will be provided to all registered attendees. Although the seminar is free, seating for the event is limited.
