Beginning immediately, the Council of Residential Specialists (CRS) is recommending SettlementRoom (, customizable web-based real estate software for managing listings and transactions, to all of its more than 43,000 members and the entire real estate community. This endorsement follows the awarding of the CRS "Quality Tested Seal" to SettlementRoom, a distinction limited to real estate tools that pass the rigorous CRS Software Test Program.

The Council of Residential Specialists, created to attract and retain realtors seeking the knowledge, resources, and relationship-building opportunities needed to maximize their income and professionalism in residential real estate, is the largest not-for-profit affiliate of the National Association of Realtors (NAR). According to Richard Lawson, Director of Products at CRS, in order for SettlementRoom’s real estate software to receive the Quality Tested Seal, it had to “be determined to be at the highest levels of user-friendliness, utilize the most current technology, and display a superior quality of output, completeness of documentation, and exemplary technical support.”

Transaction Management software allows agents, offices, and entire companies to manage all of their real estate listings and transactions through a well-organized online interface. This real estate software technology has matured dramatically over the last few years, now providing for easy customization, action plans, email reminders, document management, task tracking, scheduling, and reporting and archiving to agents and brokers in every state and several countries. It is a broad-based real estate tool, appropriate for real estate professionals who coordinate, manage, or oversee numerous real estate transactions; work in very competitive markets; need to provide immediate access to property information and important documents to colleagues, clients, and vendors; and would like to generate automatic branded status reports as needed; among other tasks.

According to Jonathan Cutler, Ph.D., president of SettlementRoom, “We are honored that CRS has taken the time to review this dynamic real estate tool so carefully and then recommend us to their members. We expect that the CRS endorsement will add further momentum to our steady growth, and give CRS members the confidence that SettlementRoom is a safe, reliable, and easy-to-use real estate tool for getting started with the latest transaction management technology—and to stop doing so much paperwork, including copying, faxing, and filing. Our users save as much as 30 percent of the effort of managing every transaction, so those waiting on the sidelines are really falling behind their competitors in this arena.”

SettlementRoom has proven its value in the marketplace of real estate professionals, generating many unsolicited testimonials, many emphasizing ease-of-use, efficiencies gained, and solid support. “SettlementRoom has saved our team so many wasted hours looking through files to locate information & documents—many of which are otherwise at our other office,” one user wrote, adding, “we should also say that your support department has done a wonderful job in answering any questions quickly and professionally.”
