A rich assortment of spectacular gem-encrusted retro jewelry was recently acquired by Maurice Goldman Fine Jewelry Online.

Highly colorful, each piece in the rich collection features bold colors and shapes. The items in the collection are obviously the work of skilled craftspersons and designers. A common theme of gold petals, leaves, and flowers runs through the collection. Nestled among these gilt leaves are an oval turquoise cabochon in a brooch, a round salmon coral cabochon, and a diamond-studded dome, each in a ring, and dark blue lapis cabochons in a pair of earrings.

The spectacular center high dome brooch - or "turtle" brooch - has a combination of numerous turquoise cabochons, faceted blue sapphires, and white enameled 18K yellow gold petals. A ring of diamonds serves to highlight the large oval turquoise cabochon in the center of the brooch. Concentric circles of whites and blues combine to form a flower shape pin.

"Each remarkable piece of jewelry in this collection can serve to transform a modest outfit into a glamorous ensemble," states Judith Isaacson, VP, Internet Division & Style Editor, Maurice Goldman Fine Jewelry Online.

The return to fashion of cocktail rings renders the collection's two elegant retro cocktail rings particularly au courant. "And that is why vintage and estate jewelry is so thrilling," comments Hector Goldman, Pres. & CEO, Maurice Goldman & Sons. "If the jewelry is composed of quality stones and metals at the outset well-designed vintage jewelry often will increase in value over the years," he continues.

The diamond-studded dome ring with yellow gold leaves encasing four carats of diamonds in the center is a symphony of silver and gold colors. In contrast, diamond-studded 18K yellow gold petals surround a large smooth stone, and emphasize the nestling salmon coral color cabochon in the center of the ring.

Large dark blue lapis cabochons blossom forth from diamond-studded white gold leaves interspersed with yellow gold leaves. The cabochons are an elegant elongated shape and the earrings lie close to the face. "The combination of rich dark blue lapis, gold, and twinkling diamonds against a woman's face can only serve to flatter and enhance", states Isaacson.

"The opportunity to offer well-crafted and beautifully designed vintage jewelry with high quality stones and metals, from the 1940s and 1950s, is exciting and rewarding", states Goldman. "Our customers who understand style and value realize that besides buying jewelery to be worn and enjoyed in the present, they may well be simultaneously investing in the future", he concludes.
