Brayton Purcell Continues Its Strong Support of the Novato Human Needs Center This Holiday Season

The Novato-based law firm of Brayton Purcell plans to make the holidays brighter for parents and kids this season by continuing its long-term support of the Novato Human Needs Center (NHNC), a local nonprofit group that helps low-income families.

Novato, CA (PRWEB) December 8, 2004 -- The Novato-based law firm of Brayton Purcell plans to make the holidays brighter for parents and kids this season by continuing its long-term support of the Novato Human Needs Center (NHNC), a local nonprofit group that helps low-income families achieve self-sufficiency. A community fixture since 1972, the agency provides counseling, information and referrals, transportation, and employment services. It serves nearly 4,000 individuals each year.

This December, NHNC is distributing food and toys to needy families. Besides donating such items to NHNC, Brayton Purcell employees are making cash contributions to the group. As it has in the past, the firm will match the monetary donations of its employees. In addition, this year Brayton Purcell has issued a challenge to the local business community to support the valuable work of NHNC by providing up to $7,500 in grants to the group to match dollar for dollar contributions received from other local businesses. "This will allow local business to double the impact of their contributions, and provide the Novato Human Needs Center with the resources it needs to make the holiday season a little better for many local families." noted Al Brayton, founding partner of Brayton Purcell, who is spearheading this effort.

We encourage other individuals and businesses to help out their neighbors. You can drop off nonperishable food such as canned cranberries, boxed stuffing, canned yams, fancy canned vegetables, cake mix, and other holiday treats at NHNC. New, unwrapped toys for children would also be appreciated. Gifts for older children may include frames, photo albums, puzzles, and board games. The drop off site is at 881 Grant Avenue, open Wednesday through Friday from 1 to 5 PM, and on Saturday from 10 AM to noon. The last collection day is Saturday, December 18th. A cash donation would also be very welcome to purchase these holiday items as well as to support NHNCs programs. For more information, call NHNC at (415) 897-4147.
