Scholle Corporation has announced acquired 100% of the shares of Flextainer SA, a French packaging company.
The business will be a wholly owned subsidiary of Scholle Corporation and continue to trade as Flextainer at its headquarters in Schalbach, near Strasbourg, France. Flextainer specializes in the development and manufacture of systems and accessories for liquid packaging, particularly in the wine industry. Among its many accomplishments are the first automated system to insert plastic handles in wine cartons, development of several of the worldÂs most popular wine box taps, and the commercialization of a revolutionary form-seal-fill technology for bag making, filling and carton loading.
Scholle Corporation is headquartered in Irvine, California, USA. It pioneered and remains the major global provider of bag-in-box packaging solutions for food, beverage and industrial products. Scholle Packaging manufactures in thirteen locations in seven countries and supplies its flexible packaging products and equipment throughout the world.
According to Leon Gianneschi, president of Scholle Packaging, ÂScholle and Flextainer had developed a strong relationship over the course of the last five years as we worked together to develop and commercialize the FlexTap® Dispensing Tap. This acquisition supports ScholleÂs ongoing commitment to bring our customers the very best flexible packaging solutions. We are delighted to add FlextainerÂs technologies to the range of packaging solutions that Scholle provides.Â
