WGL and Associates announces the inclusion of the Rain8net modular sprinkler controller into CrestronÂs ÂCertified Integrated Partner program. CrestronÂs Integrated Partner program is designed to allow partner manufacturer's products to operate seamlessly in a Crestron systems environment. Supported products include audio/video, security, HVAC, lighting and now irrigation control. Crestron Electronics, Inc. has been the world leader in the home automation systems integration market for almost thirty years.
The Rain8net was brought to market in July 2004 and is already making a name for itself as a PC-based product, as well as a peripheral sprinkler controller for systems like CrestronÂs. The modular nature of this finely tuned, state-of-the-art sprinkler controller makes it possible to control over 2000 zones of irrigation from a single serial port on a computer or other device. Its extremely small size (4Â X 3.5Â X 2.5Â for 32 zones) makes it unique in the irrigation industry.
With Rain8 software running on a Windows based computer, all aspects may be controlled over the Internet from any place in the world. Features include five different irrigation programs and timer settings that range from 15 seconds (misting applications) to three hours per zone.
About WGL & Associates
WGL & Associates was founded in 1992 to provide micro-controller-based product design services for OEMs by Warren G. Lohoff. At the beginning of the new millennium, WGL returned to the design and manufacturing of electronic products in response to the ripe automation market. The first product offered was the all house code transceiver to replace the single house code X10 transceivers. This product was well received and resulted in many suggestions that eventually led to an entire line of home automation products now offered by WGL & Associates.
