(PRWEB) December 12, 2004 -- "The Adventures of Ransom and Fortune" is Michelles action/adventure serial and won the Editors Choice from Keepitcoming.net in July 2004. The serial is a time traveling adventure following the escapades of a hit man, Dane Fortune, and his target, Skye Ransom. Together, they are stuck in the past and must work together if they are to make it back to their own time. Their journey takes them through 13th century Scotland, a futuristic Ice Age, and to the humid rain forests of South America. They never know where they will end up next.
Excerpt:
As she stood in the tiny room, staring at her reflection in the mirror, her image flickered. A wave of nausea coursed through her. Still clutching the time bender in one hand, she pressed her other hand against her roiling stomach. A blinding light flashed and she suddenly was falling... falling...
Outside, Dane knew she had ducked into the shop and followed. Not finding her inside and a manager hovering near the changing room, he knew she must be hiding in there. Hearing the jingle of the door chime, the little man turned with a smile. But the smile quickly faded when he saw Dane, gun in hand and pointing it at him.
Get her out of there, now," Dane ordered.
The little man turned back to the door, rapped softly.
Are you all right in there? How does it look?" he called, keeping a nervous eye on the stranger before him.
But there was no answer and then there was a sudden flash illuminating the cracks around the edges of the door. Dane pushed passed the little man and jiggled the handle to find it locked. He fired twice, and then kicked in the dressing room door.
All that remained on the floor were her clothes. She -- and the time bender -- was gone.
"Scars of Yesterday" is Michelles romance serial following the lives of three sisters -- Faith, Hope and Destiny. Faith is outrunning her past, Hope is outrunning her present, and Destiny is outrunning her future. But their lives all change when they are invited to Las Vegas by their ailing father, a wealthy casino owner and hotelier. He offers them each a large inheritance but only if they can learn to live with each other and become successful women on their own.
Excerpt:
Please have a seat," the butler said. Mr. Jackson will be with you shortly."
The three women spread out, Destiny still with the baby. Each sat as far from the other as possible. An antique clock on one wall ticked the long silent minutes. The butler disappeared and was gone. Faith avoided looking at either of the women, sitting on the edge of a chair with her hands clasped in her lap.
At last, a woman came down the balcony, heading for the stairs. She wore a straight black skirt, a tailored long-sleeved shirt, and low-heeled black pumps. Her long auburn hair cascaded down her shoulders and back. She descended the stairs on a glide, her shoes clopping on the wooden steps. She entered the living room and stood in the center, smiling at all three of them.
Hello, ladies. My name is Carole Browne. Im Murphy Jacksons personal secretary." She continued to smile stiffly and Faith eyed her curiously. She wrung her hands in front of her, as if she wasnt quite sure what to do with them. Im afraid your father is in the hospital."
"Scars of Yesterday" was inspired by finding the identity of three sisters with distinctive names -- Faith, Hope, and Destiny. Their story is one of struggle, betrayal, hope, and love. Michelle says, I wanted to write about the journey of discovery, friendship, and love."
"The Adventures of Ransom and Fortune" began with merely a name -- Skye Ransom. At first believing her to be an adventurous young woman, Michelle quickly realized there was a lot more to her story than that. Dane Fortune bullied his way into the story, thereby stealing half the limelight. Michelle explains, I needed something different and unique with Dane, so I knew he had to be a hit man. I also knew Skye had to believe he was after her. Working out the logistics from there was easy."
