Bon Secours New Jersey Health System selects Provider Advantage's VeriLink to provide access to real-time patient eligibility and benefit information, allowing easy identification of what the patient's portion will be for services rendered. By using VeriLink, Bon Secours will have access to Medicare, Medicaid and commerical insurance health plan data, improving cash flow operations, reducing exposure to uncompensated care, and facilitating the collection of co-pays and deductibles at the time of serice, without adding additional work to the registration staff.
Beaverton, OR (PRWEB) December 15, 2004 -- Provider Advantage NW, Inc., a national provider of automated, integrated real-time healthcare information software, announced today that Bon Secours Health System has selected VeriLink to verify healthcare insurance eligibility.
This agreement provides Bon Secours New Jersey Health System (BSNJ) access to real-time patient eligibility and benefit information, allowing easy identification of what the patients portion will be for services rendered. BSNJ, part of Bon Secours Health System, a Catholic health care ministry headquartered in Marriottsville, Maryland, serves 15 communities in nine states primarily on the East Coast and employs more than 28,000 caregivers. The Bon Secours Health System includes 24 acute-care hospitals, one psychiatric hospital, nine nursing care facilities, along with numerous ambulatory sites, eight assisted living facilities, two retirement communities, home health services, and hospice.
Using Provider Advantages automated, integrated, real-time eligibility verification service, VeriLink, BSNJ will have access to Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial health plan insurance data, to confirm patients eligibility at the point of service and to determine up front financial responsibility. This will dramatically improve cash flow operations, reduce exposure to uncompensated care, and facilitate the collection of co-pays and deductibles at the time of service, without adding additional work to the registration staff. Provider Advantages VeriLink will be initially used at four sites.
