The Baron & Budd, P.C. "Donna Hunt Adopt-A-Child Holiday Project" to Benefit the Dallas Childrens Advocacy Center

The law firm and staff of Baron & Budd, P.C. will together contribute over $26,000 in new toys, clothes, and financial donations through its Donna Hunt Adopt-A-Child Holiday Project," benefiting 54 children and 20 families through the Dallas Childrens Advocacy Center.

DALLAS, TX (PRWEB) December 14, 2004 -- The law firm and staff of Baron & Budd, P.C. will together contribute over $26,000 in new toys, clothes, and financial donations through its Donna Hunt Adopt-A-Child Holiday Project," benefiting 54 children and 20 families through the Dallas Childrens Advocacy Center.

Named in honor of a Baron & Budd employee whose love for children inspired this project, the Donna Hunt Adopt-A-Child Holiday Project works to fulfill holiday wishes for the children of the Dallas Children's Advocacy Center. Many of these children have been victims of abuse, and through the center, have become part of a program designed to help them recover and to protect them from their abusers. Since 1992, Baron & Budd employees have provided donations of much-needed new school clothes, shoes, and new toys along with financial contributions to over 300 children through the project.

Financial donations made by employees of Baron & Budd will go toward the Dallas Childrens Advocacy Centers emergency closet," which includes items such as pajamas, baby dolls, teddy bears, shoes, caps, and gloves. These items will be provided to the children served by the center throughout the year.

Baron & Budd employees Debbie Finch, Troy Lonion, Kathy Williams, Susie Taylor, Christina Wade, and Pam Carr served as coordinators of this years Donna Hunt Adopt-A-Child Holiday Project.

In addition, the firm is contributing items such as movie passes and gift certificates to a local grocery store to help ensure that each child and their family's holiday is a happy and healthy one. Baron & Budd is also donating a puppet theater to the Dallas Childrens Advocacy Center to use as a therapy aid for the children at the center.

The Dallas Children's Advocacy Center is a public/private partnership of the Dallas Police Department, Dallas District Attorney's Office, Children's Medical Center, Child Protective Services, and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. The center's purpose is to create a speedy and effective means of investigating sexual and physical child abuse, helping to restore children to physical and mental health, and punish the abusers.
