Romanian Wins Top Prize in 2004 International Student Competition
The non-profit organization Saving Antiquities For Everyone (SAFE) today announced the winners of the 2004 International Student Competition. Students from around theworld used their creativity to raise awareness about the illicit antiquitiestrade. The competition was used to recruit fellow students for SAFEs prestigious internship program. The widespread entries from all over theworld were a testament to the far reaching affects of SAFEs campaign.
New York (PRWEB) December 16, 2004 -- The first place winner and recipient of a $250.00 award was Wanda Hutira of Cluj-Napoca, Romania. She is a photography student at the University of Fine Arts in Romania with an interest in graphic design and art history.
Second place winner was John Hill, Jr. of Montserrat College of Art in Beverly, Massachusetts. Encouraged by his professor, Maya Drodz, John designed a poster encouraging other students to join the cause.
The third place award went to Allison Barnes, a student at Montclair StateUniversity in New Jersey. Allison is a Studio Fine Arts major with anAnthropology minor.
The winners were designated by judges Doug Eyringof The RichardsGroup, an advertising and branding firm based in Dallas Texas, Cindy Ho,Founder and Executive Director of SAFE, Gregory Malphurs, Founder and Creative Director of Soupcan, veteran copywriter Tom Mullenand award-winning Art Director, Designer and Photographer Willy Sions.
