Lanham, MD (PRWEB) December 16, 2004 -- Dubbed as one of the most powerful stage plays of the century ... " Nerfertiti 18TH Dynasty!" represents a masterpiece that will be talked about for years to come! Produced by Lanham, Maryland based Bible Stories Theatre of Fine and Performing Arts, in its bare-bones first debut, the feverish works of the all youth cast is compelling.

This contemporary production tells one of the most intriguing personalities of Ancient Egypt, Nefertiti.. The cast will attempt to unlock the mystery of the beautiful Queen of the Amarna period, the beloved wife of "heretic king" Akhenaton, who defied ancient custom by practicing monotheism and by elevating Nefertiti far above the role of subservient consort previously played by Egyptian queens.. The cast will characterize that at some point in the twelfth year of Akhenaten's reign, Nefertiti suddenly vanished into obscurity. (She disappeared from the records about 12 years after the marriage, and her name was defaced on monuments at some later date.) Her image has ravished Western viewers ever since a magnificent limestone bust unearthed at the royal retreat of Amarna went on display in Berlin in 1924. But frustratingly few facts are known about this woman who lived more than three millennia ago. Her entire life -- where she came from and how she died, are shrouded in mystery.

Nefertiti 18th Dynasty will take audiences by surprise when they experience the spiritual beauty, cultural richness and music, as this never before told story of Queen Nefertitis life unfolds before their very eyes.

This riveting stage play is a fierce blend of talent, with its charming 15 member youth cast. Aspiring actress Kadija S. Sesay has stepped out of her designer jeans into regal garb to revive the legendary part of Nerfertiti. As a native Washingtonian, Kadija's ancestry dons from Sierra Leone, West Africa. She enjoys reading books, writing poems, math, basketball, watching wrestling on T.V. and varied degrees of Rock/Pop music.

Co-star Alonzo Ramsey (Akhenaten)) originates from Baltimore, Maryland and is a recent graduate of Howard University in the field of Mass Communication, Radio, TV, and Film where he produced and directed his film, "For All its Worth". The rising talent was featured in Nightmare on Friday the 31st. Real Kombat, and Split Decision.
