In response to the demand by law enforcement and other first responders for more information about the threat of Suicide Terror due to specific threats by home-grown terror organizations, SSI (Security Solutions International) is presenting its acclaimed one-day overview of the threat of suicide terror in Atlanta. The event has already been attended by close to 200 different government agencies in many different cities. The one-day training session for First Responders, Emergency management and Homeland Security decision makers or other qualified security personnel takes place in Atlanta in February. The event will be held in 8 other cities in 2005.
"Most people associate suicide terror with Al Qaeda, but the most likely use of this awful weapon may come from domestic terrorists," states Ana Sowers, Press Spokeperson and Director of Marketing for SSI. "There are hate groups out there that may copy methods of operation already in existence and use them here. There is also always the threat of Foreign terrorism by extremist fundamentalist groups."
"Our misssion is to bring the best Israeli know-how -- gained in more than 50 years of fighting attacks -- to the Homeland Security First Responders and Decision makers so that we can upgrade our readiness for any terrorists that may decide to use this weapon. Our training events have been designed to provide information about community protection and force protection in the event of an attack as well as a complete overview of the way these terrorist organizations work."
Presented by a former officer of Israel's special forces and a bomb expert, the training session has been widely praised by many Federal, State and Local Law Enforcement officials that have already attended. Held in Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Waco, Tallahassee, Washington and other cities in 2004, the training session gives a background on world terrorism; explains the mind-set of different terrorist organizations, their methods and focuses on different threats: Vehicle Born Improvised Explosives, Buildings, and crowd events through extensive case studies. The training day showcases some technologies and strategies for preventing and protecting against terror.

"By the way - It was a great class. I have been involved in explosive safing and anti-terrorism for a lot of years and never heard some of the points presented in the class. Very valuable to us."
