Woman International Magazine, to be launched in Q1 2005, is a revolutionary woman's lifestyle magazine aimed at the lucrative and under-served Asian women sector. WA, a for profit company announced today its new woman’s lifestyle magazine slated to launch in Q1 of 2005 called Woman International Magazine, a beauty-and-brains magazine aimed at the lucrative and under-served Asian Women’s market.

Woman International Magazine, with Reshma Dordi, host of Showbiz India TV, picked to be the woman to grace the cover of its first issue, is a complete lifestyle magazine aimed at the powerful Asian woman’s category. Launch date is set to be Q1 2005, headed up by Siara Nazir, one of the leading women in the consumer publishing industry.

“Being an Asian woman myself, I saw a need to unite, empower and serve the Asian woman’s market, but I didn’t want to create a magazine filled with only pages of fashion and glossy photo shots. The magazine is produced and developed by and for Asian women who understand their subscribers better than any mass-market title out on the newsstand today. The magazine has several prominent Asian women hosting specialized columns to help Asian women cope with the unique problems and situations they face in everyday life.

Dipa Patel, M.D., who heads up the Medical Q&A column, has been instrumental in women’s health issues and currently practices at UCSF Medical Center. Dr. Dipa Patel has done significant work with The Elizabeth Wende Breast Clinic as well as the Boston University Medical Center.

Monika Sharma, Psy.D., who holds a doctorate in Clinical Psychology and will be hosting the special relationship column has done tremendous work with women across the US working with groups such as the Chicago Women’s Health Center.
