Gordian Health Solutions, Inc. today announced that it has been awarded 22 new comprehensive population health management clients over the last six months of 2004. This new business includes fully-insured and self-insured employers with an employee population ranging in size from 1,500 to 30,000. While implementation is already underway for a number of these accounts, all new accounts will have completed implementation by the end of first quarter 2005.

Gordian’s HRA can be customized for each client, and is a cost-effective tool to gather data to determine health risk for a given population. Alongside retrospective claims analysis and biometric testing, the HRA is part of Gordian’s tool kit to form the basis for risk stratification within a client’s employee population--from no risk through high risk.

Reed says the company is seeing a growing trend in increased use of online HRAs versus paper-based assessments, from about 30 percent of clients two years ago to about 70 percent now. The development of culturally sensitive HRAs is also increasing, he added.
