Jewish Agency Brings on Former Law Enforcement Officer as Director of Security

Chris Gonzaga, Founder of the National Security Agency of Central Florida joins the International Society for Sephardic Progress as Director of Security

(PRWEB) December 17, 2004 -- The Orlando based International Society for Sephardic Progress (ISFSP) welcomes Chris Gonzaga as their new Director of Security. Mr. Gonzaga is the founder of the well known National Security Agency of Central Florida, Inc. which is based in Orlando.

Mr. Gonzaga started his career in law enforcement and professional security by serving in the United States Army. During his time in the Army, Mr. Gonzaga served in the Police Corps then served in the Criminal Investigate Command (CID). Mr. Gonzaga served several years with the Detroit Police Department then after relocating to Florida, served in the Army reserves, where he was attached again to the Criminal Investigation Command, working the FBI's Terrorist Watch List. In Florida, Mr. Gonzaga was appointed by the Osceola Sheriff's office as a deputy and later moved on to work for the City of Orlando as a police officer where he received numerous commendations.

Mr. Gonzaga was endorsed and received training at Valencia Community College and Brevard Community College as a Law Enforcement Academy Instructor, Law Enforcement Driving Instructor, and he is certified by the NRA as a Law Enforcement Firearm Instructor.

Through the Washington based Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs, Mr. Gonzaga has been trained by members of the Zahal (Israeli Defense Forces) and the Mishteret Israel (Israeli Police) in counter-terrorism operations and issues pertinent to the Jewish community.

As a member of the ISFSP staff, he will provide security analysis and operational oversight for the ISFSP at events and proceedings which involve the public. Shelomo Alfassa, Executive Director of the ISFSP stated:

"Every Jewish organization has a responsibility to examine its security needs and respond with a plan which will meet them, we have addressed this by bringing in a professional such as Mr. Gonzaga, and we are honored to have him on board."

Mr. Gonzaga has worked with the Jewish community previously, through NSA's "Bitachon" consulting division which offers security services to congregations as well as members of the Jewish community.

The International Society for Sephardic Progress is a Jewish agency developed to serve the Sephardic community--the descendants of the Jews of historic Spain, Portugal, North Africa and the Levant who share both common religious and cultural bonds. Although based in the United States, the ISFSP is an advocacy organization representing Sephardic Jews internationally. Even though we are advocates for the Sephardim, we are activists for the Jewish people.
