ORLANDO, FL (PRWEB) December 19, 2004 -- The Robert Allen Institute conducted a new Field Mentoring program for its Creating Wealth through Real Estate students on December 2--4. This program is more than just students listening to a lecture; it is students working hand-in-hand with established instructors during an intense weekend that emphasizes the nuts and bolts of real estate investing.

For this program, the enrollment is limited to just 14 students. They take field trips to meet lenders, to interview title insurance companies, to see houses, and to make offers, so they not only know how to talk the talk, but also, how to walk the walk.

Billy Cannon, a REALTOR® and mortgage broker with a background in foreclosure properties, is one of the instructors. Cannon relishes the opportunity to help students more fully understand the business of real estate investing. He feels this program will help many students acquire the confidence and knowledge needed to pursue their goals.

Cannon describes one of his more unconventional contact methods, Once I was looking for a way to find the owner of a vacant property, and I tried everything I could to find them. I looked in public records, and I tried the yellow pages, the Internet, neighbors. Nothing worked. I really wanted to buy this house. I racked my brain thinking of a way to locate the absentee owner. Then it hit me: Why not place a sign in the yard that reads 'I want to buy this house for cash as- is. Sure enough, the owner called and I ended up buying the house. It goes to show you that marketing is truly everything."

Robert Allen knows real estate is not just about houses; its about finding solutions, to peoples problems. The Field Mentoring program helps students realize these solutions, and the Robert Allen Institute is dedicated to the ongoing success of its students.
