New York's own Don Duga, Animator of such classic holiday cartoons as Frosty The Snowman, The Year Without A Santa Claus, and Santa Clause is Coming to Town drops by TheDeepArchives Animation Gallery this Christmas so share some of his original Art as well as some of his fascinating stories about the making these and other Rankin/Bass Studios Classic Holiday Cartoon specials.

(PRWEB) December 20, 2004 -- You'd better not shout, you'd better not cry. You'd better not pout; I'm tell you why. Don Duga, Animator of such Holiday Classic Cartoon films as Frosty The Snowman, The Year Without A Santa Claus, and The Little Drummer Boy, is coming to town. That's right! This December the Legendary New York Animator will be stopping by TheDeepArchives Animation / Fine Art Gallery to share with us some his original Animation Art as well as a few stories about the making of these and other Rankin/Bass Studios Classic Holiday Cartoon specials.

Mr. Duga will be joining us here at the Gallery to help kick off the holiday season with the release of some 1950s, 1960s, & 1970s Rare and Obscure Animation Production cels and drawings.

With Original Production Art from such classic cartoon films as Charles Schulz's Charlie Brown's First Christmas to Dr. Seuss's How the Grinch Stole Christmas, which was Animated by the legendary Warner Brothers director, Chuck Jones. Tom Ray, the animator who drew the artwork used in the special produced by Mr. Jones and Dr. Suess, will also visit our Hoboken location where we will be exhibiting a number of his original drawings. For dates and times please call. But that's not all. There are more surprises as we announce that stopping by the Gallery to celebrate his own Christmas Special entitled, Humbug!, will be everyone's favorite little Green Slab on Clay, Gumby, who will be celebrating his 50th birthday in June of 2005 with a special exhibit to he held at the Gallery and at The Museum of Television and Radio in New York. Also appearing will be creator and Stop-Motion pioneer, Art Clokey, who not only brought us Gumby, but also the morally minded Davey & Golliath. So besure to keep an eye on the Gallery's Event website for all the details.

We haven't forgotten that New York is the advertising capital of the world, so this Holiday season we are pleased to announce our release of rare and vintage animation cels from many of your favorite classic Television Commericals including Hostess Twinkies, Cupcakes, Ding Dongs, and Fruit Pies. The Scrubbing Bubbles, Borden's Elsie the Cow, Count Chocula, Boo Berry, and Franken Barry will all be represented.

Our upcoming events for 2005 include a sale and exhibit of Original Artwork by legendary Comic Artist Roland Wilson, who is famed for his wonderfully tart comic paintings which appear in Playboy Magazine.

Current Gallery Releases include Vintage Walt Disney Production animation cels, drawings, and storyboards, as well as a few lovely paintings by the renowned designer/stylist Mary Blair. School will be back in Season soon so besure to check out all the Original Art from the Classic education segements of School House Rock, which was created by Tom Yohe and George Newell.

Also available is original art from Animators as, John David Wilson, Chuck Jones, Bob Singer, Iwao Takimoto, Dick Bickenback, Bill Beet, and Abe Levito.
