Community Schools Partnering with Ed2Go
The ACEA: Community Schools program is partnering with the online education provider, Ed2Go, to offer more than 300 web-based courses.
Anchorage, AK (PRWEB) December 22, 2004 -- The Anchorage Community Education Association (ACEA) is teaming up with Education To Go (Ed2Go), an online education provider, to offer students in the Anchorage metro area and throughout the United States an opportunity to participate in fun and interactive learning from the convenience of their home or office.
We are very excited about working with Ed2Go. We feel it will fill a niche for people who are unable to travel to one of our Community School locations or who may want to take a course that isnt currently offered", said Lora Jorgensen, ACEA Executive Director. These Ed2Go classes can also serve as career enrichment classes; theyre affordable, fit within any schedule and can enhance a persons marketability."
Ed2Go is the number one online provider of non-credit, instructor-facilitated continuing education courses. Ed2Go creates, staffs, and maintains an exclusive line of over 300 web-based courses on topics as diverse as web page design, personal finance and parenting.
Classes are open to everyone and are scheduled to begin January 19th. Courses will run for six weeks and students will be given two lessons a week -- on Wednesdays and Fridays -- with a final test at the end. Students can complete the courses from their home or office any time of the day or night. They can sign up by visiting www.ed2go.com/akcs.
Upon completion of the class, students can download a certificate of completion.
In many ways Ed2Go is perfect for reaching Community Schools target audience: people who have an interest in lifelong learning, but who lead busy lives and need a less formal learning structure," Jorgensen said.
