Holliday-Cards Program Raises Over $13,000 For Area Schools

Baton Rouge, LA – Holliday-Cards, a division of Franklin Press, Inc., recently completed its first year of producing holiday cards from artwork children created at school. The artwork is scanned and posted to a special section for each school on a web site, http://www.holliday-cards.com. From there children and parents can view the childs artwork and even email their cards for free. Parents can also purchase sets of cards with their childs very own artwork on them. When they do, 25% of the revenue is donated back to the school.

Baton Rouge, LA (PRWEB) December 23, 2004 -- Thirty-seven schools participated in the greeting card program. St. Francis Xavier Elementary in Vicksburg, MS, earned over $1,700 for its art program with a remarkable 63% response rate to earn School of the Year honors. Franklin Press will be making a special contribution to the school for its outstanding performance.

Susan Schlecht from Holy Family School in Port Allen, LA, commented, The children were very excited over having cards with their drawings on them. The process was teacher friendly – easy, fun, great quality work. I look forward to working with you again." In a survey among the schools, every one of them indicated they would participate again.

Holliday-Cards is offering a number of card programs for spring 2005. These include Earth Day, Easter, Patriotic cards and Mothers Day all-occasion cards. Also, the program will be made available to day care centers, including age-appropriate lesson plans for younger children. The cost to participate is free.
