The Consortium of African-American Organizations (CAAO) and other black professional organizations will host a Black Professionals Night at a Cleveland Cavaliers game.

(PRWEB) December 25, 2004 --The Cleveland Cavaliers, in partnership with ALLTEL Communications, are proud to present the first annual Black Heritage Celebration for the 2004-05 NBA season. This celebration will feature five signature Cleveland Cavaliers games that emphasize the empowerment and contributions of the Black community. The celebration will begin the last week of January and run through Black History Month in February, 2005.

The Black Heritage Celebration will feature tributes to the historic contributions of Martin Luther King Jr., black sports legends of Ohio, black professionals, college alumni chapters and churches. The celebration will also showcase the relationships built between the Cavaliers and African-American organizations throughout Ohio. The foundation of these relationships is centered on providing a cultural experience, networking opportunities and youth educational programs within the Cleveland Cavaliers games of the Black Heritage Celebration.

Festivities for the celebration include pregame receptions for group outings, a postgame gospel concert, a Greek fraternity and sorority step show and an exhibition basketball game with more activities to be announced. For every game, Gund Arena's concourse will also feature African-American art, music and informational exhibits.
